Building your own home is a dream for many. Our job is to make sure it doesn't become a nightmare. From the first sketch to the day the keys are handed over, Jigsaw runs the planning, procurement, programme and trades on your behalf so you can stay focused on the project, not the paperwork.
Scope scales with the project, but these four areas are the spine of any self-build project management engagement with Jigsaw.
Liaison with the planning authority and building control on your behalf, from validation through to discharge of conditions and final completion certificate.
Trades shortlisted, quoted, contracted and scheduled. We work with a known set of East Devon trades who we can vouch for personally.
Monthly cost reports against the agreed budget, with value-engineering options laid out before any decision needs to be made.
NHBC, LABC or Self-Build Zone warranties co-ordinated alongside building control sign-off and final handover.
Earlier is better. The most cost-effective time to engage Jigsaw is at the pre-planning stage, when we can advise on plot suitability, planning probability and rough build costs before you commit to an architect or contractor.
Yes. Jigsaw doesn't do architectural design. We work alongside your architect (or recommend one of the East Devon practices we trust) and manage the build on the drawings they produce.
Single-house plots, replacement dwellings, barn conversions and full new-builds across East Devon, mostly in the 2,000-6,000 sq ft range and £500K to £2M build value.
Jigsaw covers the towns and villages of East Devon as a matter of course. Travel beyond on negotiation.
A quick chat with Paul is usually enough to establish whether your project is a good fit for Jigsaw. No detail is too small.
