Adding to an existing house is harder than starting from scratch. Matching brick, keeping the building watertight, living on site while we work. Jigsaw has done it a hundred times across East Devon, and we know how to keep you sane while we do it.
Scope scales with the project, but these four areas are the spine of any extensions & renovations engagement with Jigsaw.
Rear, side and wrap-around extensions tied properly into the existing structure, with the new finish matched to the original.
Whole-house refurbishments including structural opening-out, full rewires, replumbs, new heating and modern insulation.
Kitchen and bathroom installations as part of a broader project, sequenced so the rest of the build is ready when the fitters arrive.
RSJ installation, load-bearing wall removals and full structural alterations under building control sign-off.
Often yes. Jigsaw zones the work so one floor or wing remains habitable, with site protection (dust sheets, sealed doorways, separate site WC) between living and working areas. We'll be honest at quote stage if it isn't practical for your scope.
Most rear extensions of 25 to 40 m² take 12 to 16 weeks from groundworks to handover, including the disruption period before the existing wall is breached.
We work with your architect on planning. Where there's no architect engaged, we can recommend an East Devon practice we work with regularly and have a feasibility chat first to see what's likely to get consent.
Jigsaw covers the towns and villages of East Devon as a matter of course. Travel beyond on negotiation.
A quick chat with Paul is usually enough to establish whether your project is a good fit for Jigsaw. No detail is too small.
